Digital marketing is becoming more and more vital for products from food to household items. Instacart allows companies to cross sell between brands, and Amazon kicks the digital shelf up a notch with secondary images and enhanced content. These not only grab the consumers eye, but help educate viewers on what they're buying. It's my job to convince consumers that a frozen meal they're buying online will actually be tasty, or a vague scent description will actually smell like "april fresh" in person.
